Jeffrey Coffman

Jeffrey Rex Coffman, 49, of Danville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008.

Born June 22, 1959 in Putnam County, he was the son of Warren Rex and Audrey Sutherlin Coffman. He married Debbie Downing in 2006 and she survives.

Additional survivors include his mother; son Brandon Coffman, Bloomington; daughter Rebecca Davis and husband Nik, Stilesville; stepdaughters Jamie Patterson and husband Justin, Nebraska, and Brandi Miller and husband Rick, Danville; stepson Duane VanDeVanter and wife Jennifer, Danville; brothers Gregory Coffman and wife Susan, Plainfield, and Joseph Coffman and wife Heather, Carlisle; six grandchildren, and his grandmother, Leona Sutherlin, Greencastle.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents Charles and Alda Coffman, his beloved grandfather Wayne Sutherlin, his only uncle and aunt, Ron and Nancy Sutherlin.

Mr. Coffman was a Greencastle High School graduate and was an over the road truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed his grandchildren, dogs, motorcycle riding and TV Land. He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles and the Moose Lodge.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle with private burial at the Little Walnut Cemetery in Greencastle.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday.
