Learn orchid basics at PCPL
Does the word phalaenopsis frighten you?
Do you find yourself fascinated but hesitant to own an orchid?
Well, fret no longer!
Dick Wells, owner of Hilltop Orchids, Cloverdale, will be at Putnam County Public Library on Thursday at noon, where he will present an hour-long discussion of these beautiful flowering plants.
The presentation is titled "Demystifying Orchids: Learn the basics with Dick Wells."
Wells is nationally recognized and has won numerous awards for his specialized hybrid phalaenopsis.
Additionally, Wells has over 40 years of practical experience growing orchids. He and his wife Sandy have been running Hilltop Orchids as an incorporated business for over a decade.
During this particular presentation, Wells will guide participants through the exotic world of orchids, demonstrating the myths and realities of owning these amazing flowers.
This is a brown bag session. Refreshments will be provided and reservations are not required.
"Demystifying Orchids" will be held in the Kiwanis Room, lower level of PCPL.
