SPJH cross country splits with Patriots

The South Putnam Junior High boys and girls cross country team split wins Wednesday against Owen Valley.

The boys team lost, with Owen Valley scoring 24, to South Putnam's 35. Top finishers for the Eagles were Evan Potts getting second, fourth was Hunter Barr, and Larry Hurst finished with sixth place.

The girls team won with a score of 25 to Owen Valleys' 33. Top finishers included Lindsey Beasley with second, Mallory Glaze got third, Kaelynn Cox got fifth, and Maddie Egold finished with a sixth place.

The Eagles next meet will be Saturday at the Cascade Invitational.
