Sheriff's Department

Three accident reports were turned in recently at the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

On Sept. 11 at 4:40 p.m. Janelle Metz, 16, Reelsville, ran off Manhattan Road for unknown reasons and hit a mailbox.

Damage was estimated between , $750 - $1,000.

At 9 p.m. Lacy Bumgardner, 21, Greencastle, was on CR 125 South when a deer ran in front of her and she was unable to avoid hitting it.

Damage was estimated between $1,000 - $2,500.

On Sept. 13 at 5:40 p.m. Chino Wilson, 22, Greencastle, was on US 231 when he reached into his backseat to retrieve a CD case and lost control of his vehicle hitting a tree.

Damage was estimated between $750 - $1,000.
