GHS tennis falls 4-1

The Greencastle boys' tennis team dropped its Wednesday contest with Linton-Stockton 4-1.

GHS senior David Cath was the lone winner on the night, defeating Chase Rhoten 6-1 and 6-0 at No. 1 singles. No. 2 singles player Ty Fauvergue lost to Seth Herudon in a third game super tiebreaker 6-4, 4-6 and 4-10. Logan Greziek fell in straight sets at No. 3 singles 6-2 and 6-3 to Kris Shipman.

In doubles action, Victor Ness and Joey Kass lost to Kyle Cooper and Luke Knight at No. 1 doubles 6-1 and 6-0, while the team of Cy Spencer and Dustin York dropped their No. 2 doubles match with Ben Brown and Taylor Sloan 6-3 and 6-1.

Xander Hazel and Jared Bruner picked up wins in junior varsity action.
