Hickory at Sunset recently welcomes Evelyn Brown as its new admission and marketing director.

Before accepting the position, Brown was administrative director of Midwest Quality Associates. Prior to that, she wrote and received a grant to create the Victim's Advocate Program for Clay County.

She has been in marketing and sales positions throughout the area for many years.

Brown is actively involved with the Popcorn Festival of Clay County, and has been the president of the festival's board since its inception. She has also been the president of the Clay County Preservation Association for several years.

Brown received her bachelor's degree from Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute, where she majored in psychology.

Brown said with all that Hickory Creek has to offer the community and the quality and longevity of the caring staff, it was an easy decision to accept the position.
