Putnam County Jail

Sherrie E. Cave, 48, Greencastle, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated on Sept. 30.

Four accidents were investigated recently by the Putnam County Sheriff Department.

On Sept. 24 Kelly J. Freiberger, 31, Coatesville was driving her 2000 Jeep Cherokee and pulled into the BP gas station on North US Hwy 36.

Her brakes failed and she struck a propane storage unit.

The storage unit pushed up against the building causing damage to the outer structure.

No damage was reported to the SUV.

Damage to the storage is estimated between $750-$1,000.

On Sept. 27 Krystle A. Miller, Brazil was traveling northbound on 500 W approaching 375 N in a 1998 Honda.

As she approached the hillcrest on the road she was unable to make the curve, leaving the roadway and striking a parked 2000 Ford Taurus in Paul Reeds Driveway.

Estimated damage is between $2,501-$5,000.

Officer Boller investigated the accident.

On Sept. 30 Melissa A. Smith, 49, Roachdale, was driving westbound on CR 1100N when a deer ran across the road and hit the passenger front of her vehicle.

Damage is estimated between $2,501 and $5,000.

On Oct. 1 Kristen E. Karwowski, 18, Fillmore ran off the road on Valley Forge Dr., Groveland.

Damage is estimated to between $2501-$5000.
