Putnam County Jail

There were several arrests made recently by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

Jessica H. Stevens, Greencastle, was booked at 9:52 a.m. Tuesday for probation violation.

Steven M. Smith, Greencastle, was booked at 9:51 p.m. for probation violation and public intoxication.

Kelly L. Foxworthy, Greencastle, was booked at 12:08 a.m. Thursday for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Michael Smoot, Greencastle, was booked at 5:34 a.m. for dealing in cocaine or methamphetamine.

Robert M. Schultz, Lizton, was booked at 10:05 a.m. for probation violation.

Michael Batchelor, Reelsville, was booked at 5:50 p.m. for attempted arson, domestic battery and auto theft.

Jay M. Scott, Cloverdale, was booked at 7:12 p.m. for probation violation.

Amy Reed, Greencastle, was booked at 7:43 p.m. for interfering with a screening test, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and three counts of neglect of a dependent.

Marvin R. Hutcherson, Indianapolis, was booked at 10:50 a.m. Friday for theft.

Sheriff's Department

Three accidents were reported recently to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

Randle A. David, 45, Bloomington, was northbound on U.S. 231 approaching I-70 at 7:16 a.m. Thursday when Joshua Foxx, 20, Greencastle, struck his vehicle in the intersection. Foxx had slowed for a school bus but decided to attempt a left turn onto I-70 in front of the bus and did not see David's vehicle.

Lisa K. Wilson, 29, Reelsville, was traveling on 550 South at 5:21 p.m. Monday when she approached the top of a hill and was unable to stop for a non-moving vehicle driven by Anthony M. Paul, 17, Greencastle. Wilson struck the rear of Paul's vehicle, which she claimed was stopped to talk to a pedestrian.

Jordon M. Stevens, Greencastle, was eastbound on 75 South when he approached a curve in the road. Stevens was unaware of the curve and lost control of his vehicle.
