CHS drops match

CRAWFORDSVILLE-- The Cloverdale Clovers volleyball team fell to the Southmont Mounties in four games on Tuesday night.

They lost 25-18, 25-20, 20-25, and 25-15.

The leading scorer for the Clovers was Allie Franklin with a season high 17 points, she also led in aces with six, and she had 11 digs. Maria Skiles was next in points with eight, she also had four aces, and led in assists with 11. Kristin McCammon led in kills with four, and also led in digs with 16. And Elizabeth Cheatham led the Clovers in blocks with 13.

"Southmont has improved since we saw them in the beginning of the season. I felt that our serving has improved with a season high 15 aces and we had a balanced attack last night," said coach Kathy Moore.

The Clover JV team lost in two games 25-24, 25-17.
