Leona Sutherlin, 88, of Greencastle died Sunday at Hickory Creek at Sunset.

Mrs. Sutherlin was born June 16, 1920 in Waynesburg, Ky. to Minton "Bud" and Myrtle (Padgett) Littrell. She attended Clinton Center schools. She married Thomas "Wayne" Sutherlin on Dec. 22, 1936, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2000.

She was a homemaker. She had also been employed at G.C. Murphy and worked at a sorority house at DePauw University. She had also operated the Sugar Creek Creamery.

Survivors include her daughter, Audrey Coffman of Greencastle; a sister, Gladys McCains of Greencastle; a brother, Luther Littrell of Greencastle; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Nancy Sutherlin; four brother, Lawrence, Lewis, Leamon and Chester Littrell; a sister, Lola Littrell and a grandson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Calling will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Little Walnut Cemetery.
