Edward G. Ypma

Edward G. Ypma, 68, of Greencastle died at home on Nov. 5, 2008 after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Ypma was born Sept. 12, 1940 in Libertyville, Ill.

He earned three degrees from Purdue University and was a professor at DePauw University for 38 years from 1966-2004. He served as Residence Director for DePauw-related international programs in Tokyo, Japan; Athens, Greece; and Frieberg, Germany.

His main hobby was travel with his wife.

Survivors include his wife Ellie Ypma of Greencastle, sister Anne of Scottsdale, Ariz. And several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by Bell Mortuaray and Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock Chapel.
