Lora Brown Anderson

Lora Susan Brown Anderson, age 90, of Plainfield, formerly of Ladoga, died at Roland Golden Memories Retirement Village in Plainfield at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1918 to Walter and Mintie Major Brown in Bandy, Ky. She was married to Virgil Anderson on Aug. 14, 1957 in Indianapolis, and he survives.

Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of North Salem.

Other survivors include stepson Gerald Anderson of Danville; stepdaughter Janice McKinney of Louisville, Ky.; five half-sisters, Anna, Bernice, Christine and Rose of Kentucky and Berdina Grady of Greenwood; and several nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death were three brothers, three sisters and a half brother.

Services will be Saturday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home at 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bainbridge Cemetery.
