Maurice W. Bousman, 92, Anderson, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at St. John's Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born Aug. 15, 1916 in Anderson to William and Mary (Bristol) Bousman.

For more than 30 years, he worked in production at General Motors. He was also a life-long farmer and was a bus driver for Highland High School and College Corner for 20 years.

He was a member of Bethany Christian Church, American Legion of Chesterfield and past officer of Farm Bureau.

Mr. Bousman served in the army during World War Ii in the European Theatre.

His wife, Dorothy (Fosnot) Bousman, preceded him in death Sept. 12, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Matthew; two granddaughters, Amy Lynn and Jennifer Jo; and a brother, Donald Bousman.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip K. Bousman and his wife, Diane, of Greencastle and Mark D. Bousman and his wife, Jan, of Anderson; daughter, Kimberlee S. Spencer and her husband, John, of Bowling Green, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Nathan (Jennifer) Bousman, Laurie (Matt) Shahnanz, Lana (Scott) Boswell, Beth (Joe) Krejsa, Amanda (David) Stamper, Thomas (Amanda) Brantlinger, Jason (Danielle) Spencer and Linda Spencer; 17 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Larry Kineman and Robert Bell officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be given by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266 honor guard.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18 at the funeral home.
