Sheriff's Department

Christopher Helmer, Greencastle, was traveling east on Hannah Street approaching College Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. His vehicle struck a tree just east of College Avenue. The accident occurred at 2:50 a.m. Saturday. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Kyle Birt, Greencastle, was traveling west on County 225 South at 10:40 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. His vehicle struck a power pole after exiting the roadway. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Travis Hoffa, Indianapolis, was traveling north on S.R. 243 when a deer ran west to east across the road. She was unable to avoid colliding with the animal. Steele's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Donald Hayes, 29, West Lafayette, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday for probation violation.

Anthony Moran, 21, Center Point, was booked at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday for probation violation.

Thomas Kratt, 23, Coatesville, was booked at 5:24 a.m. Wednesday for theft, burglary and mischief.

Bradley Eaglin, 28, Terre Haute, was booked at 11:24 a.m. Wednesday for probation violation.
