Tiger Cubs falter at Brown County

The Greencastle boys' basketball team traveled to Brown County Saturday. Second chances and points at the line were a deciding factor in the Tiger Cubs' 71-61 loss.

Greencastle held the lead at the half, 32-31, but Brown County opened the third quarter on an 11-2 run and GHS never recovered and fell by the 10-point margin.

The Tiger Cubs had three players score in double-figures on the night. Nick Hutcheson led the way with 13 points as Ashton Marshall added 12 and Jordan Hickam 10. Wade Huber chipped in eight points, Kyle Nobles had seven and Graham Shuee added six. Justin Bartum closed out Greencastle's scoring with five points.

Brown County converted on 16-of-24 free throws and tore down 19 offensive rebounds in the contest.

Greencastle will host South Putnam Tuesday at 7 p.m. It will be a varsity only matchup.
