GHS freshmen end season with a win

The Greencastle freshman basketball team ended their season with a win, defeating Monrovia 46-43 Wednesday.

Playing without two of their starters due to injury and illness, the young Tiger Cubs led from wire-to-wire in securing their sixth win of the season.

Greencastle received a big contribution from the bench, as all 10 players in uniform played and seven of the 10 reached the scoring column. Trevor Huber and Hunter Mitchell led the Tiger Cubs in scoring with 12 points each. Jesse Tesmer added eight points and 14 rebounds.

Members of this year's freshman squad were Logan Gardner, Dustin Law, Dylan Linton, Trevor Huber, Kaden Faust, Matt Hendrich, A.J. Gerard, Ryan Stevens, Ryan Battin, Hunter Mitchell, Michael Phillips, and Jesse Tesmer.

The Tiger Cubs ended the season with a 6-11 record.
