GMS gets pair of win over Cougars

The Greencastle Middle School sixth grade girls' basketball team picked up a pair of wins this past week.

On Wednesday, GMS A-Team defeated North Putnam 38-8. Leading the team was Taylor Stoltey with eight points while Callan Taylor and Tera Amis scored six points each and Sydney Secrest and Brittany Welker had four point each. Jessica Lenihan and Trinity Brown had three points each while Delanie Stoltey and Sydney Stuchwisch had two points each.

In the B-game, Greencastle conqured the Cougars, 20-8 with Sammy Newcomer leading the way with six points each. Callan Taylor had four points while Ashlyn Cox, Monica Downing, Delanie Stoltey, Tera Amis and Jessica Lenihan had two points each.

On Thursday, Greencastle's A-team defeated the Cougars in the second game of the series 23-10.

Leading the charge was Lenihan with nine points while Sydney Smiley had four points and D. Stoltey, T. Stoltey, Stuchwisch, Quincy Miller and Amis had two points each.

In the B game, the Lady Tiger Cubs won 15-8 with Newcomer scoring six points while Marley Nichols had four points and Brown and Amis had two points each. Ashlyn Cox rounded out the scoring for Greencastle with one point.
