Sandra Kay Junod

Sandra Kay Junod, 62, of Greencastle died on Monday, March 9, 2009.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1947 in Greencastle to Lowell Allen Whicker and Ruby Catherine Petrey Whicker. She was a 1965 graduate of Greencastle High School and received her associates and masters degrees in nursing from I.U. School of Nursing.

A Registered Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. Junod had worked at Putnam County Hospital emergency room for 14 years and at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon in family practice for seven years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Greencastle.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Allen Junod; sons, Alan Junod of Reelsville and Chris Junod and wife Jennifer of Clayton; two brothers, Charles Whicker and wife Anita of Indianapolis and Michael Whicker of Greencastle; one sister, Donna Carlton and Brian Harris of Holmes Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jordan Junod, Nathan Junod and Ryan Junod; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her parents, and a nephew, Lonnie Carlton, preceded her in death.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church, 218 S. Bloomington St., Greencastle, with Pastor Alan Barber officiating. Burial will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

Calling will be Thursday at the church from 4 to 8 p.m.
