Ready, set, start kindergarten

Parents with children ready to start kindergarten in the fall took the opportunity to sign them up during Cloverdale Elementary's round up.

Cloverdale Elementary School's kindergarten round up was well attended by parents signing their children up for the 2009-10 school year. Those in attendance visited the kindergarten classrooms while copies of birth certificates and immunization records were turned in.

Parents were given the opportunity to finish any of the necessary forms, learn about bus routes and receive pamphlets with information about starting school.

Future students toured a school bus and received a bus coloring book.

In addition, Head Start, preschool and the Putnam County Public Library were available with helpful information.

Families with children turning 5 years old before Aug. 1 may call the CES office at 795-4339 to schedule a time for completing enrollment papers turn in necessary forms and receive informational material.
