Letter to the Editor

A coward and a good Samaritan

Friday, April 24, 2009

To the Editor:

I would like to find the cowardly individuals that drove down my driveway on Saturday, April 18, 2009, and "dumped-off" a female dog.

She was literally half starved to death. Her tail stayed tucked, she barked, showed teeth, and was petrified of everyone. My wife tried to befriend her, but the dog was uncooperative.

Then along came Steve. He works at the same place my wife does. He sat on the ground and coached food and treats to the dog. Finally he was able to get a leash around her neck.

She was last seen sitting on his lap, in the front seat of his pick-up truck, licking wildly on his face. A good home can be found for animals. Cowards just "dump" them off and sway the responsibility onto someone else.
