Two accidents have recently been reported by the sheriff's office.
John Ade, Brazil, was traveling east on U.S. 36 at 8:28 a.m. Tuesday when he failed to notice a vehicle driven by Mark Gubser, Greencastle, was making a left turn onto CR 600 E. Gubser's vehicle was struck from behind. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Ade's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.
Regina Yoder, Arthur, Ill., was traveling west on Interstate 70 at 5 p.m. Saturday when the rear-passenger tire went flat, causing her lose control. Her vehicle spun around and struck a guardrail. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.
Putnam County Jail
Dipenbhai Patel, 25, Terre Haute, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 1:02 a.m. Thursday for public intoxication, reckless driving, operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Edwin Vogel, 61, Hebron, Ky., was booked at 3:24 a.m. Thursday for public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating per se.
Darren Brower, 40, Indianapolis, was booked at 5:08 a.m. Thursday for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.
