LINTON -- Bertha A. Wells, 93, formerly of Sandborn, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Heritage House of Greensburg in Greensburg.

Born in Fillmore on April 14, 1916, she was the daughter of Lowell and Nova (Arnold) Dicks. On May 29, 1953, she married Don E. Wells.

Mrs. Wells was a member of the Sandborn Baptist Church. She worked as an Inspector for Eli Lilly and also in the school cafeteria.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Kay Rupp of Greensburg, Cheryl Cleveland of Palm Springs, Calif., and Stephanie Anderson of San Diego, Calif.; one son, Donald Hamilton of San Diego; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Gladys Neuhausal of Sandborn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don E. Wells (May 6, 1995), son-in-law, George Rupp, two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at the Sandborn Baptist Church from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Monday. Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Sandborn.

The Wells family has entrusted these arrangements with the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandborn Baptist Church and Hospice, with envelopes available at the church.
