GHS alumni set reunion date

The Greencastle High School Alumni Association has set June 6 for its biannual All Class Reunion Dinner.

The buffet dinner will be served in McAnally Center at 6:30 p.m. Doors to McAnally will open at 4:30 p.m. for people to meet friends and browse through memorabilia.

Dinner tickets are $15 each and may be obtained from John Carson at 653-5879 or Karen Birt Wood at 653-3034.

Reservations are preferred, but a few attendees will be accepted at the door for $16 per person. Reservations should be made by May 29.

Several classes planning milestone reunions will also attend the Saturday night all class gathering.

GHS grads and friends are invited to the dinner and to a brunch at the Putnam Inn June 7. Those arrangements are up to the individuals involved.

GHS alumni president Steve McMains invites alumni and friends to the air-conditioned McAnally Center early to enjoy meeting with old friends and greet Carolyn and John Carson, who are leaving the Greencastle Community. The Carsons have been largely responsible for the success of the alumni association. John Carson was in charge of the undedication ceremony when the old uptown gym was retired.
