Slammers pick up win

The Slammers (2-0) girls' softball team defeated RHS 20-9 Monday night in the Putnam County Girls softball League.

Kate Anderson, Courtney Horton, Sierra Mason, Kaylee Hughes, Alyssa Brown and Alizza Jackson all went 3-for-3 on the night.

On Tuesday, the Slammers downed Jackson Hewitt 13-12 in a nail bitter. The Slammers trailed 12-6 going into the plate the final time. Erika Bright recorded an RBI as she brought Horton across the plate for the winning run.
