Klotz, Arnold win at Center Grove

GREENWOOD -- Megan Klotz and Tabitha Arnold's season continues after the duo claimed the Individual Doubles Sectional championship Wednesday.

Klotz and Arnold defeated Stefanie Smith and Sara Rasnick of Morristown 6-3 and 7-6 (7-2).

"Extremely proud of Megan and Tabitha playing their best tennis at the best time," South Putnam head coach Johnnie Briones said. "Morristown duo fought hard, would not give up easily.

"Megan and Tabitha weathered the storm, and pulled out the win," he added.

Briones commented that both squads played great at the net and that Klotz' serve was working well for her. He also noted that Arnold used her precision game to great effect.

"It was exciting to see both teams at the net 'duking it out'", Briones commented.

Klotz and Arnold will move on to either the Park Tudor or Carmel next week. The duo will find out who they will battle at a later date.
