Putnam County Jail

Two men were arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail Monday on several felony charges.

Steven Dickey, 46, Lawrence, and Michael Sisk, 46, Linton, were booked just before 4 a.m. for unlicensed possession of a handgun, possession of precursors, cocaine, marijuana and a syringe.

Thomas Shugars, 51, Greencastle, was booked at 6:49 p.m. Friday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

Derick McGaughey, 22, Greencastle, was booked at 7:23 p.m. Friday for possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.

Nicholas Toby, 21, Greencastle, was booked at 8:22 p.m. Friday for probation violation and theft.

Timothy Miller, 39, Greencastle, was booked at 1:16 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication.

Kenneth Price, 28, Indianapolis, was booked at 4:13 p.m. Saturday for trespassing and residential entry.

Troy Gorham, 39, Greencastle, was booked at 8:45 p.m. Saturday for domestic battery.

Robert Eaker, 48, Brazil, was booked at 7:16 p.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Angela Weeks, 32, Greenwood, S.C., was booked at 11:10 p.m. Monday for disorderly conduct, public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, neglect of a dependent and resisting law enforcement.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Donald McCammack, Cloverdale, was traveling east on US 40 at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, when he struck a deer with his vehicle. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Paul Anthony, Greencastle, was traveling west on CR 525N near CR 725E at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, when he sideswiped a guardrail in an attempt to avoid an unknown vehicle traveling north on CR 725E.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Police Department

While on routine patrol at 5:11 a.m. Tuesday, Officer Albert Epple found a broken window on the north side of Kentucky Fried Chicken, 509 S. Bloomington St.

After checking the building, an undetermined amount of cash was reported missing. The case has been turned over to Detective Michael Collins, who processed the scene.

Orville Dickey, Greencastle, was stopped on Washington Street waiting to turn left into Greencastle High School's parking lot, when the back of his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Zachery Allen of Greencastle.

Allen stated his attention was diverted and was unable to avoid hitting Dickey's vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

The following tickets were issued by Greencastle Police Department

Tobias Shively, Claypool, was stopped on Veteran's Memorial Highway at 2:38 p.m. Friday and ticketed for traveling 64 m.p.h. in a 40 m.p.h. speed zone.

Travis Brown, Greencastle, was stopped on Bloomington and Broadway streets at 11:05 p.m. Friday and ticketed for false and fictitious registration.

Matt Taylor, Greencastle, was stopped on Apple and Bloomington streets at 3:20 a.m. Saturday for an unsafe start.

Christopher Taylor, Greencastle, was stopped on Locust Street at 10:13 p.m. Saturday for expired license plate, which expired September 2008.

Denise Vogel-Summers, Fillmore, was stopped on Fillmore Road at Lear and ticketed for traveling 52 m.p.h. in a 30 m.p.h. speed zone.

Joshua Chiarizio, Greencastle, was stopped at Veteran's Memorial Highway and Jackson Street and ticketed for driving with a suspended license.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to Heartland Automotive, 300 Warren Drive, at 1:12 p.m. Monday, but were disregarded en route.

Crews were dispatched to 300 Medic Way at 10:49 a.m. Tuesday, but were disregarded before leaving the station.
