Putnam County Sheriff's Department

An 18-year-old male was taken by helicopter to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis following a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

Brian Winslow of Fillmore was traveling west on CR 300N at 1:30 p.m., when his pick-up truck left the roadway for unknown reasons.

The accident report stated there were no pre-impact skid marks indicating the vehicle was out of control.

The truck Winslow was driving traveled approximately 41 feet into a ditch, struck a power pole and telephone box before continuing an additional 350 feet and striking a second power pole.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Richard Thompson, 40, Cloverdale, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 12:43 a.m. Wednesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating per se and public intoxication.

Nicholas Winters, 21, Greencastle, was booked at 6:11 a.m. Wednesday for sexual misconduct with a minor and criminal recklessness with a vehicle.

Shawna Langworthy, 29, Greencastle, was booked at 6:58 a.m. Wednesday for battery.

Robert Clements, 49, Bainbridge, was booked at 9:17 a.m. Wednesday for invasion of privacy and domestic battery.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 1611 W. CR 300S at 2:23 p.m. Tuesday for power lines knocked down by a tree limb. They were back in service at 2:43 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 916 S. College Ave. at 3:24 p.m. Tuesday for an alarm. They were back in service at 3:42 p.m.
