Briana Bryant, winner of the Church Bowling League single elimination tournament, displays the traveling trophy presented weekly to the top Church team during its regular bowling season. The Church Bowling League will start this fall on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. The League is open to all area churches and is a closed sanctioned league which allows various church members to bowl on their church team each week. A church can sign up for a four person team and schedule four different bowlers each week. This is a handicap league where bowlers' average scores have ranged from 38 to 164. During the spring season, there were over 57 total bowlers of all ages compete. We have had youth teams, regular four person teams, and mixed teams that change each week. Bowling consists of three games each week with the highest team series winning the traveling trophy. For more information on sanction fees and weekly bowling expenses contact Rob Alex at Alex Alleys or Steve Cash. Otherwise, just bring a four person team to the lanes on Aug. 28 by 6 p.m.
