Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 17 S. Indiana St. at 1:45 a.m. Saturday to assist Putnam County Operation Life. They were back in service at 2 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 427 E. Washington St. at 1:39 p.m. Saturday for a fire alarm, which turned out to be an oxygen machine malfunction. They were back in service at 1:51 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 311 S. Locust at 6:06 p.m. Monday for a fire alarm malfunction. They were back in service at 6:17 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Deer Meadow School at 6:40 p.m. Monday for a fire alarm set off by a student. They were back in service at service at 6:55 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 504 E. Seminary at 9:26 p.m. Monday for a fire alarm malfunction. They were back in service at 9:40 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 408 S. Locust St. at 9:44 a.m. Wednesday for a fire alarm that was caused by maintenance on a drain. They were back in service at 9:53 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 311 S. Locust St. at 9:22 a.m. Wednesday for a fire alarm malfunction. They were back in service at 9:41 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 311 S. Locust St. at 12:27 p.m. Wednesday for a fire alarm malfunction. They were back in service at 12:41 a.m.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

A Cloverdale woman sustained injuries in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning.

Cassandra Warren was traveling north on SR 243 near Putnamville at 9:17 a.m., when her vehicle left the road and traveled approximately 150 to 200 feet before coming to rest in a creek bed approximately 25 feet below the roadway.

The accident report stated, "As the vehicle traveled through grass and down the hill, it appears the vehicle was airborne."

The left, front of Warren's vehicle struck the creek embankment on the opposite side before coming to rest in three feet of water right side up.

Warren was transported to Hendricks Regional Hospital with shoulder, arm and hip pain.

"She was examined and has a collapsed right lung, two stitches in her chin and one in her hand," the report stated.

Curtis Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Jonathon Robertson of Plainfield was traveling south on CR 475E at 6:59 a.m. Wednesday, when he moved over and his front tire went off the road causing damage to the back tire and rim. His vehicle was towed from the scene. There was an estimated damage of $2,501 to $5,000.

Amanda Way of Greencastle was attempting a left turn into the Country Folks Dairy Bar at US 231 and US 36, when a vehicle driven by James Wheeler of Plainfield hit the right side of her vehicle.

Wheeler was traveling west on 36 and slowing for the intersection to make a right turn at the time of the collision. Both drivers and their passengers were uninjured in the crash, which occurred at 12:40 p.m. Sunday.

Neither vehicle was towed from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Charles Land of Coatesville and Robert Robertson of Bainbridge were traveling north of US 231 near Bainbridge, when Robertson signaled to make a turn.

According to the accident report, Land saw Robertson turn on his right signal. Land attempted to pass Robertson's vehicle on the left side, when Robertson turned on his left signal. Land tried to swerve back, but his left, front bumper caught the right, rear taillight and tailgate of Robertson's pick up truck.

Robertson stated he didn't have his right signal on and was turning left for a garage sale.

Neither vehicle was towed from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Thomas Wilkey of Terre Haute was traveling on Interstate 70W near Cloverdale at 10:54 a.m. Saturday, when his vehicle drifted into the left lane hitting a vehicle driven by Keith Lauderbaugh of Hanover.

Wilkey told the investigating officer he was tired and must have fallen asleep at the time of the crash. There were no injuries reported. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Randall Nagel of Cloverdale was traveling north on US 231 at 5:50 a.m. Saturday, when a deer entered the roadway. Nagel was unable to avoid hitting the animal. His vehicle was not towed from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Calvin Campbell of Coatesville was traveling east on CR 50N near Greencastle at 12:55 a.m. Saturday, when he lost control of his vehicle and struck two fence posts and a fence. The vehicle continued east through a residential yard before reentering the roadway.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Amy Dorsett of Reelsville was traveling on CR 50N at 6:50 a.m. Friday, when a deer entered the roadway. Dorsett was unable to avoid hitting the animal.

Michael Marlatt of Greencastle was pulling a hay rake with his pick up truck west on CR 125S (W. Walnut St.) at 9:15 a.m. Monday, when he slowed for a railroad crossing. A vehicle driven Melanie Bittles of Greencastle was traveling behind Marlatt and struck a portion of the hay rake on the left side.

There were no injuries reported in the crash. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Harold Chicote of Greencastle was backing into a parking space at 2448 US 231 at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, when his vehicle struck a parked vehicle.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Lisa Ervin, 42, Indianapolis, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 2:26 p.m. Tuesday for operating a motor vehicle -- never receiving a license.

James Hager, 21, Roachdale, was booked at 3:03 p.m. Tuesday for petition to revoke probation.

Robert Clements, 49, Bainbridge, was booked at 7:54 p.m. Tuesday for petition to revoke bond.
