GREENCASTLE -- Robe-Ann Park will be bustling with activities Saturday, all of which will be to benefit local causes.

The 12th annual Bike and Car Show, third annual food drive for the Putnam County Senior Center Food Drive and the second annual Cause 4 the Paws benefit for the Putnam County Humane Society will all be going on simultaneously.

Also, the ninth annual Run for Fun motorcycle ride to raise funds for Monty Beaman, a local man injured in June in a motorcycle accident, will begin at Greencastle Custom Cycle, 200 N. Indiana St., at 11 a.m.

Registration for the ride, which will end at 4 p.m. at Robe-Ann Park, is $10. A hand for a poker run will cost $5.

Registration for the afternoon car and bike show will run from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Fee will be $10 per entry.

Open voting will run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and awards for the top 10 cars and bikes will be presented at 6 p.m.

A cruise-in and live entertainment by the F-5 Band will follow the show.

Food from BD's Barbecue will be available. There will also be a 50-50 drawing and a silent auction.

"We're still in need of volunteers to make sno-cones and cotton candy, take money for the bounce house and take tickets," Humane Society of Putnam County volunteer Monica Sargent said.

Attendees for any of Saturday's events are asked to bring a can or two of non-perishable food to donate to the food pantry.

"We love having all these different events going on at once," said Lisa Eaton of Greencastle Custom Cycle. "It's a great chance for the whole community to really come together."

No alcohol will be permitted at the park during the events.
