Tigers fall to Centre in home opener

Senior quarterback Spud Dick was injured and left the game in the fourth quarter of Saturday's contest against Centre. Dick struggled on the day, throwing three interceptions and no touchdowns in the Tigers' 34-24 loss.

GREENCASTLE -- The DePauw Tigers struggled at Blackstock Stadium Saturday against visiting Centre. The Tigers mounted a comeback, scoring 21 points in the final quarter, but fell to Centre 34-24.

Backup quarterback Michael Engle spurred the Tigers' charge, completing 14-24 for 196 and 2 touchdowns. Alex Koors caught six catches for a staggering 146 yards and two touchdowns. Brayden Dahlstrom led the team with 10 receptions for 73 yards.
