Festival has vendor sites

Vendor spaces are still available for the Covered Bridges of Putnam County Festival Oct. 9 through 18. Spots are located outside the Bainbridge Community Center on U.S. Hwy 36 on the west edge of Bainbridge.

A 10-foot by 10-foot space is only $100 for the 10-day event. Electricity is an additional $25, with all fees due prior to set-up.

Applications are available on the Friends of the Park Web site at www.freindsoftheparkrussellville.org. Contracts can be downloaded. Vendors will be accepted up to opening day unless no space is available.

The Bainbridge Improvement Society is hosting a large garage sale inside the community building all 10 days of the festival.

FOP will be cooking kettle beans and have a taco hut open.

Free covered bridge maps and a large covered bridge model will be available at the event.

A car show will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 10. Cost is $10 per vehicle. Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon. Saturday's Entertainment includes Francie Bond from 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 10 and 15 and Hullman from 2:30-3:30, F5 from 4 to 6 p.m. and House of Worship from 7 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 10. A car and truck show will take place from noon to 4 p.m.

On Oct. 11, Anthony Mullis will perform from 11 a.m. to noon, Jodi Buis will be on stage from noon to 1 p.m., Upward Journey will perform from 2 to 4 p.m. and Ellen Alander from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

A washers tournament will also take place. Registration must be made prior to 1 p.m.
