Putnam County Farm Bureau offers youth essay contest

Eighth graders are eligible for the 2009-2010 Dick Lugar/Indiana Farm Bureau/Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Companies Youth Essay Contest.

The state winners are recognized with an all-expense paid trip to our nation's capital. The district winners are awarded a $50.00 U.S. Savings Bond.

The essay theme for this year's contest is "Farmers Looking At A Bright Future". Contest information/requirements should be obtained from your principal's office. If additional information is required, the principal or you should contact Indiana Farm Bureau at 317-692-7830.

All student essays must be mailed to the Farm Bureau County Woman Leader Beth Evans 653-2281 by school principal and/or designated school authority. Farm Bureau Putnam County's address is 1001 N. Jackson St., Greencastle, IN 46135. Essays must be postmarked on or before Oct. 30, 2009.
