Karen Lynn Everts

Karen Lynn Everts, 60, of Fillmore, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born May 28, 1949 in Gary, the daughter of Max and Vera Evans Foster.

Mrs. Everts was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Morton, and the Plainfield Quaker Town Shakers Square Dance Club.

She is survived by her husband Rick Everts of Fillmore; son Rickey D. Everts II and wife Karen Marie of Coatesville; daughter Tina Dixon and husband Paul of Bainbridge; granddaughter Taylor Lynn Dixon; brother Leonard Foster and wife Audrey of Avon; and sister Judy Drummond and husband Richard of Valparaiso.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with the Revs. Tim Matthews and Paul Smerage officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery in Morton. Calling will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
