Greencastle Police Department

Christopher S. McGuire, 22, Bloomington, was traveling east on Indianapolis Road at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday when his vehicle slid into the back of a vehicle driven by Billy Caldwell, 78, Coatesville, due to wet pavement. Caldwell's vehicle was then pushed into the back of a vehicle driven by Misty Wiltermood, 33, of Russellville.

Caldwell was transported to Putnam County Hospital with complaint of back pain and difficulty breathing. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Justin Miles, 22, Greencastle, was traveling east on Anderson Street at 6:27 p.m. Tuesday, when he attempted to change a CD and struck two parked vehicles owned by Rodney and Susan White of Greencastle.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Miles' vehicle from the scene. Miles was cited for not having car insurance. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Ronald Teague of Reelsville was traveling north on US 231 near Greencastle at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday when his vehicle struck a deer. Teague was uninjured.

The vehicle was not towed. There was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Jason Lawhorn of Brazil was traveling on CR 150S (W. Walnut Street) at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday when he lost control of his vehicle on a curve due to wet pavement. His vehicle left the road and struck a telephone pedestal box and a tree before coming to rest. Lawhorn was uninjured in the crash.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed his vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

William D. Embrey Jr., of Wellsburg, W.Va., was traveling south on US 231 near Cloverdale at 11:32 p.m. Tuesday, when he lost control of his vehicle due to road conditions and struck a guardrail, damaging 150 feet of it. Embrey was uninjured in the crash.

His vehicle was not towed from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to S.R. 240 and Indianapolis Road at 2:32 p.m. Sunday to assist with first aid and clean up from a motor vehicle accident with personal injury. They were back in service at 2:57 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 720 Terrace Lane at 5:10 p.m. Sunday for a medical assist with Operation Life. They were back in service at 5:25 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 913 S. Locust St. at 12:49 p.m. Monday for an alarm due to cooking. They vented the room due to smoke and were back in service at 2:09 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 121 Frazier St. at 2:46 p.m. Monday for a lawn mower on fire. No injuries were reported. They were back in service at 3:06 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Humbert Hall, 208 E. Olive St., at 10:27 p.m. Monday for a fire alarm due to cooking. They were back in service at 10:43 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 10th Street and Indianapolis Road at 4 p.m. Tuesday for a motor vehicle accident. They assisted Operation Life and cleaned up debris. They were back in service at 4:26 p.m.
