James Lloyd Warren

James Lloyd Warren, 83, New Maysville, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at Hendricks Regional Health.

He was born Sept. 29, 1926 in Casey County, Ky., son of the late Robin Goss and Florence Woods Warren.

He married Carrie Gordon on April 30, 1947. She survives.

He was a pastor of the Evangelistic Full Gospel Church, New Maysville.

He retired from R.C.A in Indianapolis. He was an evangelist, an accomplished song writer and headed up the gospel band called "The Gospel Faith Builders."

He was preceded in death by daughter Helen Ruth Warren; three brothers; and six sisters.

Surviving are his sister, Martha Spears of Science Hill, Ky.; sons, Willard Lee Warren of Poland, William Warren of Greencastle and Daniel Warren of New Maysville; daughter, Darla Poynter of New Maysville; 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem.

Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Monday at 2 p.m. with Pastors Phil Bilyeu and Glenna Warren officiating.

Interment will follow in the Eperson Cemetery, Barnard.
