GREENCASTLE -- The Putnam County Health Department, in partnership with the Putnam County Hospital, will be conducting H1N1 flu vaccine clinics on Wednesdays during the month of January. The vaccine will be available to all persons on a walk-in basis.

The clinics will be held in the Medical Office Building at PCH from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 6, from 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 20 and from 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 27.

Both the H1N1 "nasal mist" vaccine and the H1N1 "shot" vaccine will be available during these clinics.

The PCHD would like to remind parents of children under the age of 9 years who have received their initial H1N1 vaccination that a second dose is required in order for the vaccine to be fully effective.

Questions regarding these clinics and H1N1 response in Putnam County can be referred to the PCHD at 653-5210.
