Nomination deadline nearing
Putnam County residents are reminded that Jan. 4 is the final day to submit nominations for the 2009 Putnam County Citizen of the Year Award.
The winner will be announced at the Chamber's Annual Dinner on Jan. 30.
Nominees must be a resident of Putnam County for five or more years, and have given extended service to the county in more than one area.
Neither the nominees nor the individuals making the nominations have to be Chamber members.
When making a nomination, include the nominee's name, address and in detail the reason(s) for the nomination.
The Chamber also needs the name, address and phone number of the person or persons making the nomination.
Entries may be mailed to the Chamber office at 16 S. Jackson Street or hand delivered. Nominations will not be taken over the phone, by word of mouth or via e-mail.
