Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Jereane Cummings of Cloverdale was traveling north on CR 325W near Greencastle at 5:15 p.m. Monday, when she pulled to the side of the road for a vehicle traveling south. Due to ice and snow-covered roads, her vehicle slid into a ditch, struck a fence and impacted a tree.

Cummings was uninjured in the accident. JD Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

* Crews were dispatched to 106 Spring St. at 3:50 a.m. Thursday for an alarm.

They were disregarded before leaving the station and back in service at 3:53 a.m.

*Crews were dispatched to 1148 Bloomington St. at 10:43 a.m. Thursday for a propane leak in a trailer behind McClure's Gas Station.

The owner of the trailer contained the small leak and crews were back in service at 11:26 a.m.
