Trelon "Wayne" Corlew

Trelon "Wayne" Corlew, 83, of Reelsville died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at his residence.

He was born Jan. 18, 1926 in Parma, Mo., the son of John B. and Bertha M. Woolsey Corlew.

During World War II, Mr. Corlew served in the U.S. Army with the 4th Air Supply Squadron Manila Philippines until his Honorable Discharge as a Staff Sergeant, April 13, 1947. He worked as a forklift operator for over 42 years at Delco Ramey General Motors plant in Anderson. He was a member of the VFW, NRA, life member of the American Hunting Club, North America Fishing Club and the First Christian Church of Brazil.

He married Nancy D. White Dec. 28, 1984 in Tipton. She survives.

He is also survived by his daughter, Susan Elaine Rogers (Randy); sons, Timothy Wayne Corlew (Linda), Emry Thomas Corlew (Debby), Wendell Ray Gann and Randell Edward Gann (Clare); brothers Tony B. Corlew (Katie) and Johnny E. Corlew (Audrey); sister Lena Fay Daugherty (Joe); 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Arthur Corlew; and sisters June Virginia Fletcher, Nina Illine Farley, Betty Jo Micheli, Jesse Delphina Corlew, Freda Christina Corlew and Dorothy Corlew.

Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide cremation services. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Jan. 16 at the First Christian Church of Brazil.
