Don Hettich Jr.

Don Hettich Jr., 44, of Cloverdale died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010.

He was born in Terre Haute on March 31, 1965.

Mr. Hettich attended New Providence Baptist Church in Greencastle. Don's favorite pastimes included hunting and fishing abroad, coaching softball and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Cardinals and anything his girls were involved in. He especially enjoyed time with his family and friends.

Don graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in chemistry. He started his career at Reilly Industries and spent the last several years at Eli Lilly. Don was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Plainfield.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lisa Davison Hettich and his two daughters Lindsey and Makayla. Along with many friends and family, Don will also be greatly missed by his parents Beverly and Don Hettich Sr., Lisa's mother Jane Davison, his sisters Karen Brown and Teresa Courto, as well as his grandfather John Doades.

He is preceded in death by his father-in-law Herb Davison, and his grandparents, Edna Doades and Edna and Nick Hettich.

A celebration of Don's life will be held on Thursday at New Providence Baptist Church with visitation from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m.

Don requested no flowers or memorial contributions. Because caring for others brought him great joy, he would be honored if donations were made to the Terre Haute Vista Care Foundation in his name.
