Mary Louise Rogers, 92, of Greencastle died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at the Putnam County Hospital.

Born Oct. 3, 1917 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Charlie and Annabelle Long Higgins. She married Arthur M. Rogers on Feb. 2, 1935 and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2001.

Mrs. Rogers had been a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons, Roy Rogers and wife Patsy of Greencastle, Lee Rogers Greencastle and Norman Rogers and wife Teresa of Greencastle; two daughters, June Warriner of Bradenton, Fla. and Linda McKenna of Bradenton.; three sisters, Anna Marie Haga of Greencastle, Sandy Welch and Connie Trueblood; a brother, Charles David Higgins of Cloverdale; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Ralph Rogers; a daughter, Reta Jones; four grandchildren, Marilyn Ann Rogers, David Rogers, Teresa Cruize and Buddy Jones; a great-grandson, Richard Lintz; and four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with the Revs. Jimmy Parrish and Steve Blaydes officiating. Burial will follow at the Walnut Chapel Cemetery in Belle Union.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
