Putnam County Jail

Joshua Lee Doane, 26, Reelsville, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 3:14 p.m. Tuesday for violation of home detention.

Elesia Stewart, 20, Poland, was booked at 12:14 a.m. Wednesday for possessing alcohol as a minor.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

John D. Eastes of Reelsville was traveling west on Interstate 70 at 7:45 p.m. Jan. 25, when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. His vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Garner Towing Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

James T. Engle of Russellville was turning east onto US 36 from US 231N near Bainbridge, when a vehicle driven by Nicholas S. Smith of Lebanon struck the back of his vehicle. Smith was traveling east on 36 and was unable to stop for the traffic light due to icy road conditions.

The accident occurred at 4:55 p.m. Jan. 25. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene and there was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Shannon L. Maag of Indianapolis was traveling on CR 300E near Greencastle at 9:45 a.m. Jan. 31, when her vehicle struck a deer. The vehicle was not towed from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Lin Zhou of Greencastle was traveling east on CR 125S near Greencastle at 11:13 a.m. Jan. 28, when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions. The vehicle left the roadway, reentered the roadway and spun around before leaving the roadway again.

The back of Zhou's vehicle struck a utility pole, which snapped off at the ground causing power lines to fall across the roof of her vehicle. Parke County REMC was called to make repairs.

Her vehicle was not towed and there was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Seth E. Arnold of Fillmore was traveling north on CR 275S near Greencastle at 3:28 p.m. Jan. 28, when he lost control of his vehicle on "S" curve due to icy road conditions. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Arnold's vehicle was not towed from the scene. There was an estimated $750 to $1,001 in damages.

Kenya Ferrand of Lafayette was traveling north on CR 275E near Greencastle at 3:10 p.m. Jan. 28, when she lost control of her vehicle due to the icy road conditions. Her vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility guard wire before overturning onto the driver's side.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 330 Greenwood Ave. at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday for a fire alarm. They were back in service at 6 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1002 Judson Court at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday for a medical assist. They were back in service at 9:11 a.m.
