Thomas E. Webb, 81, of Roachdale died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born Oct. 4, 1928 in Montgomery County, the son of Howard and Helen French Webb.

Mr. Webb had been a salesman for Mid-States Wire and Keystone Manufacturing in Crawfordsville and had farmed and raised saddle and trotter horses.

He married Phyllis Johnson on Dec. 22, 1952 in New Market.

He was a graduate of New Market High School, attended Purdue University and completed the Dale Carnige Course. He was a member of the Alamo Order of the Eastern Star, Waveland Masonic Lodge, Tippecanoe Saddle Club and the Indiana Trotters and Pacers Association.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Rachel Crosby and husband Steve of Roachdale, Sandra Miller of New Market and Mary Smith and husband Mitch of Anderson; three sisters, Ruth Lester of Crawfordsville, Marty Boone of Crawfordsville and Nancy Pierson of Scottsville, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville. Cremation will follow the service. Calling will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
