Four wrestlers advance to Evansville

Greencastle's Jesse Ford placed second at the Mooresville Regional Saturday to advance to the state semi-finals being held in Evansville next weekend. Teammate Jesse Vermillion, South Putnam's Chris Hurst and North Putnam's Tyler Ruble will also make the trek south.

MOORESVILLE -- Four Putnam County wrestlers punched their card to compete at next Saturday's state semi-final held in Evansville. Greencastle's Jesse Ford and Jesse Vermillion, along with South Putnam's Chris Hurst and North Putnam's Tyler Ruble will make the trek south in hopes of securing a spot at the state finals in Indianapolis.

Ford and Hurst placed second on the day, while Vermillion was third and Ruble fourth.

The state semi-final round takes place at Evansville Reitz Saturday at 9 a.m.
