Cougar, Eagle swimmers split meet

ROACHDALE -- The North Putnam Middle School and South Putnam Junior High School swim teams split their Feb. 25 meet. The Eagle girls won 89-65. The Cougar boys were victorious 97-69.

Arnold (100 IM), Tori Kiste (50 butterfly) and the team of Kelly Hayden, Clair Perry, Mariah Minnick, and Sierra Heim (400 freestyle relay) all gained wins for South Putnam. Heim pulled out a win for diving with a score of 91.20.

North Putnam girls' Rebecca Muse (200 freestyle), Autumn Wolf (50 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Jessie Harper (100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke) pulled out firsts in these as well as Autumn Wolf, Jessie Harper, Sydnie Kanne, Rebecca Muse winning the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.

Leading for the North Putnam boys were Taylor Thornell (200 freestyle), Cyle Ford (100 freestyle) and the team of Chad Brouhard, Emmett Holsapple, Trevor Bingman and Thornell pulled ahead in the 400 freestyle relay. Cameron McPherson also won the diving event with a 70.10.

Winning for South Putnam were Wyatt Nees (100 IM, 50 Butterfly), Tayler Arnold (50 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Tyler Neumann (100 breaststroke). In addition, Arnold, Nees, Neumann and Ben Albright won the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay.
