Putnam County Jail

Brentley J. Norris, 34, Brazil, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 7:48 p.m. Friday for operating a vehicle without proof of financial responsibility and with a suspended license.

Edward Pickering, 37, Greencastle, was booked at 1:44 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating per se and public intoxication.

Harold M. Brock, 54, Greencastle, was booked at 2:12 a.m. Saturday for disorderly conduct, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, public intoxication and mischief.

Josh Burns, 26, Indianapolis, was booked at 4:28 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating per se.

Monica C. Little, 28, Freedom, was booked at 10:22 a.m. Saturday for petition to revoke probation.

Richard D. Garske, 47, Cloverdale, was booked at 11:10 p.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Carol A. Barnes, 45, Quincy, was booked at 1:25 a.m. Sunday for public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating per se.

Orbin R. Prine, 24, Indianapolis, was booked at 12:49 p.m. Sunday for battery with seriously bodily injury to another person.

Jennifer N. Jones, 31, Greenwood, was booked at 10:24 a.m. Monday for failure to appear and non-support of a child.

Leonard M. Barger, 36, Clay City, was booked at 11:02 a.m. Monday for petition to revoke probation.

Brian A. Branagin, 34, Greencastle, was booked at 12:07 p.m. Monday for violation of probation.

Joshua L. Card, 19, Danville, was booked at 7:01 p.m. Monday for battery.

Tammy L. Jones, 28, Greencastle, was booked at 2:11 a.m. Tuesday for operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Mathew Hannel of Cloverdale had his vehicle parked in the driveway of a home located on CR 180E at 5 p.m. Sunday while delivering a pizza. Hannel's vehicle rolled into the overhead garage door. There was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Steven J. Harvey of Frankton was attempting to back-up his tractor-trailer on Waster Water Plant Road in Cloverdale at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, when the right rear of his trailer struck a parked pick-up truck registered to the Town of Cloverdale.

There was estimated to be less than $750 in damages.

H.W. Peabody of Kokomo was traveling east on I-70 at 7:23 p.m. Friday when his vehicle "drifted" into a vehicle driven by Joseph D. Davidson of Springfield, Mo.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Ashley M. Ross of Fillmore was backing her vehicle out of a parking space at 1780 US 40E at 11:13 p.m. Friday, when a vehicle driven by Matthew T. Huck of Greencastle was struck by her vehicle.

No injuries were reported. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Kathleen A. Babington of Greencastle was traveling north on CR 352W at 10 p.m. Feb. 27, when she slowed for a curve and lost control of her vehicle due to black ice. Her vehicle slid off the road and into a ditch.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Corey S. Gregory of Greencastle was traveling west on CR 975S near Cloverdale at 9 p.m. Feb. 25, when he swerved to miss a deer, traveled off the roadway and into a ditch.

There was less than $750 estimated in damages.

William J. Trainor of Terre Haute was traveling on CR 25N at 12:45 p.m. Feb. 25, when he lost control of his vehicle due to untreated roads. His vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Trainor did not complain of injuries and his vehicle was not towed. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Linda L. Richardson of Cloverdale was driving in the parking lot of the McDonald's Restaurant in Cloverdale at 7:50 a.m. Monday, when a newer, hunter green Chevrolet Cavalier backed out of a space and struck the front of Richardson's vehicle.

Richardson stated in the accident report, a 16-to-17-year-old female got out of the Cavalier and said it was just "minor crash" and left the scene.

Captain Tom Helmer, who took the accident report, checked Cloverdale and South Putnam high school's parking lots, but was unable to locate a vehicle fitting Richardson's description.

"There was approximately a one-hour delay in reporting the crash," Helmer stated in the report.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Denice E. Hall of Mooresville was traveling south on CR 325W near Brick Chapel at 7:41 a.m. Monday, when her vehicle slid through a stop sign at CR 350N and into a ditch due to ice on the roadway.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Blake W. Schowe of Hermann, Mo., was in a parking lot at 10 Crosswinds Plaza, Cloverdale, at 1:20 p.m. Friday, when he backed into a parked vehicle.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to Humbert Hall, 208 E. Olive St., at 2:27 a.m. Saturday for an alarm. They were disregarded and back in service at 2:30 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to Humbert Hall, 208 E. Olive St., at 7:25 p.m. Sunday for an alarm. They reset the alarm and were back in service at 7:43 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Kentucky Fried Chicken, 509 S. Bloomington St., at 3:55 p.m. for a car fire in the parking lot. They were back in service at 4:31 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 950 N. Jackson St. at 8:25 a.m. Monday for a car accident without injury. They were back in service at 8:48 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 125 E. Washington St. Tuesday for a gas odor investigation.
