Putnam County Jail

Drew M. Evens, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 3:46 p.m. Tuesday for petition to revoke probation.

Cory Scobee, 29, Fillmore, was booked at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday for petition to revoke probation.

Timothy L. Miller, 40, Greencastle, was booked at 11:24 p.m. Tuesday for petition to revoke probation.

Joshua D. Newlin, 29, Greencastle, was booked at 12:42 a.m. Wednesday for possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance.

Peter J. Benedict IV, 38, Clinton, was booked 10:51 a.m. Wednesday for failure to appear.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Mark A. Carr, Greencastle, was turning around at Lincoln Park Speedway on U.S. 40 near Putnamville. Before turning back onto the highway, he observed the right turn signal of a vehicle driven by Donald L. McClure, Danville. Carr proceeded into the roadway and was struck by McClure.

Steele's wrecker service towed McClure's vehicle from the scene. Estimated damage was between $2,501 and $5,000.

Greencastle Police Department

GPD recently issued the following tickets:

Francis L. Gibson, 42, Greencastle, was stopped at 240 East and Warren Drive at 7:15 p.m. March 18 and cited for a seatbelt violation.

Matthew Sykes, 24, Fillmore, was stopped at 240 East and Indianapolis Road at 7:30 p.m. March 18 and cited for a seatbelt violation.

Alisha M. Kimes, 32, Fillmore, was stopped at 240 East and Indianapolis Road at 7:30 p.m. March 18 and cited for a seatbelt violation.

Jared L. Gilbert, 25, Cloverdale, was stopped at Madison and Gilbert streets at 9 p.m. March 18 and cited for driving while suspended with a prior.

Samantha Pitts, 25, Fillmore, was stopped at C.R. 50S and C.R. 300E at 4:49 p.m. March 20 and cited for driving while suspended.

Wesley B. McClure, 50, Cloverdale, was stopped in the 1200 block of S. Bloomington Street at 3:50 p.m. March 24 and cited for an expired license plate.

John Williams, 80, Carbon, was stopped on S. Jackson Street at 3:20 p.m. March 26 and cited for expired license plate.

Joshua R. Matheney, 30, Greencastle, was stopped at Wood Street and Gardenside Drive at 12:20 a.m. March 28 and cited for expired license plate.
