The Putnam County Community Foundation recently announced that Therese Cunningham has started an endowment to honor her parents, John W. and Paula Cunningham.

"My parents raised us with a strong sense of gratitude for all the blessings we have been given," said Cunningham. "They taught us that the more we give of ourselves, the more we receive in kind."

Cunningham is the first member of the Silver Anniversary League, established to commemorate the Community Foundation's 25th anniversary.

This group of 25 individuals, families or organizations, will create endowments supporting the Community Grants Program of the Community Foundation.

"These are some of our most treasured endowments," said Elaine Peck, executive director of the community foundation. "These endowments give the Community Foundation the ability to address changing needs and aspirations in our county."

Anyone may contribute to the Cunningham Family Community Endowment or start a new endowment in his or her own name. Contributions to the Endowment should be made payable to the Putnam County Community Foundation with "Cunningham Family" in the memo, and mailed to 2 South Jackson Street, Greencastle, IN 46135.

Community Foundation staff are available to help donors make gifts of cash, stock, retirement assets, life insurance, bequests, real estate and other types of gifts.

The Community Foundation administers more than 200 funds and endowments for donors, supporting a variety of charitable purposes. To learn more about the Silver Anniversary League or how to start a new fund, visit www.pcfoundation.org or Call 653-4978.
