Greencastle Police Department

Roger Reed II of Greencastle was traveling west on Indianapolis Road at 8:58 a.m. April 16, when he struck the back of a vehicle driven by Manuel Lavaris of Chula Vista, Calif. Damages were estimated between $2,501 to $5,000.

Maegan Vaughn of Greencastle was traveling west on Indianapolis Road at 8:12 p.m. Tuesday on a motorcycle driven by Cole E. Elson of Greencastle, when she let go of Elson and fell off the bike. She was transported to Putnam County Hospital with lower leg fracture to the right let and several scrapes and abrasions to her left leg and arm.

There was no damage to the motorcycle.

Casey Massingale of Greencastle was traveling west on Washington Street at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, when her vehicle struck the back of a vehicle operated by Joshua Amis of Greencastle, which struck the back of a third vehicle operated by Jon Young of Greencastle.

Operation Life transported Massingale and Young to Putnam County Hospital with neck pain and medics saw Amis for a small laceration to the back of his head.

The following tickets were issued by GPD:

Houston M. Cherry, 20, Putnamville was stopped on Veteran's Memorial Highway at 12:42 p.m. April 15 and cited for an expired license plate.

Dylan Harrison, 16, Greencastle, was stopped on Washington Street at 11:18 a.m. Thursday and cited for speeding -- 51 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to CR 300W and 400S at 11:58 a.m. Thursday for a motor vehicle accident. They were back in service at 12:45 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 141 Frazier St. at 9:38 p.m. Thursday for an unauthorized fire. It was extinguished and they were back in service at 10:14 p.m.
